"Stabbed in LA in an unprovoked attack. I was driving home in the morning in an area I was unfamiliar with. I encountered a car ahead of me that swerved and in an attempt to avoid a collision, I tried to go around the vehicle and ended up hitting an unmarked median. My airbags went off and I was unable to continue driving so I got out of my car to check the damage. I moved my car out of the way of traffic before the morning rush hour began and while I was outside of my car, an unhoused man came at me with scissors spewing profanities. As I was trying to create some distance from him I fell on my back and before I was able to get back up, the man came and stabbed me with a pair of kitchen shears. I was screaming for help on the ground, kicking at him to get away and someone came outside to offer help because they heard me in their apartment. This person and I called 911 together and he stood with me until the cops came to arrest the man who stabbed me. I was taken away via ambulance and my car towed to impound for 6 days (I couldn't find where my car was, no one was calling me back from LAPD about it so I had to find a way to the police station myself). My stab wound is healing, but I got a bill for $20, 295.91. I work in the service industry and have had to take time off work from all this, and living in LA expenses can get overwhelming missing any days of work. Anything will help, even a share.
