My name is Portia, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for someone who means the world to me—my Aunt Val.
Eight years ago, Val faced non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and, by the grace of God, she beat it. But in November 2024, our worst fears became real when she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
Val is the kind of person who gives everything she has to others. She’s an Air Force veteran, a 30-year veteran of the trucking industry, and one of the strongest women I’ve ever known. When four young boys in our family were at risk of being separated into foster care, Val stepped in without hesitation to raise them herself—because that’s who she is.
She has always fought for everyone else. Now, she’s fighting for her life.
We’re trying to raise $6,500 to help with the growing medical expenses so Val can focus on healing—not on bills. She deserves to put all her energy into this fight, not worry about how to pay for it.
Aunt Val is a fighter, a woman of deep faith, and a beacon of love and strength in our family. Please, if you can give—anything at all—it would mean so much. And if you can’t donate, sharing this would still be a blessing.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
