On April 13, 2025, my four children, including my seven-year-old son, and their aunt were involved in a car accident. Tragically, my son sustained severe injuries that have left him in critical condition ever since. His injuries include bleeding in his brain (hemorrhage), blood clots (hematomas), bruised brain (contusions), brain tissue swelling, and diffuse axonal injury (DAI).
From the time he arrived at Riley Hospital, my son was intubated and later had a tracheostomy tube placed for his breathing on May 2, 2025. He has remained in this condition ever since. Throughout April, he spent the entire month in the PICU at Riley Hospital before being transferred to the rehabilitation center on May 12, 2025.
I am not writing this to seek sympathy or pity. However, I genuinely appreciate any support or assistance you may be willing to provide. I recently started a new job and am unable to return to work due to my continuous presence at Riley Children’s Hospital with my son. His recovery journey has been long and arduous, and I am committed to supporting him every step of the way.
