Update on Sylvia’s Journey – Thank You for Standing With Her

Hi everyone,

We wanted to share an update on our sister Sylvia. She’s still at home and, unfortunately, not able to return to work just yet. Right now, she’s awaiting what we hope will be the final round of testing to help guide her next steps in treatment and recovery.

She’s been scheduled for a sleep study and a new CT scan, following some concern from her doctor about a “spot” on her lung. She previously underwent a biopsy, and we're staying hopeful that the upcoming scan brings good news.

In the meantime, Sylvia continues doing her best to regain strength and stability. Despite her determination, the ongoing medical tests, treatments, and medications have taken a toll—both physically and financially. Her resources have been stretched thin.

We want to thank each and every one of you who has donated, shared her story, or simply reached out with kindness. Your support means the world to Sylvia and to all of us.

Updat: Not the news we were hoping for...

Hi everyone — thank you again to everyone who has donated, shared, and offered support. Your kindness continues to mean so much to our family.

Unfortunately, my sister Sylvia received some difficult news. She has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. As a result, her doctors have told her she cannot return to work for the foreseeable future. Right now, there’s no timeline for when—or if—she’ll be able to go back.

She has started a new medication regimen to help manage her symptoms, and we’re hopeful it will bring her some relief. In the meantime, she is working to get medical assistance, but as many of you know, that process takes time — and we don’t yet know how long it will be before any support is approved.

With no income and growing medical needs, her financial situation has become even more challenging. In addition to medical expenses, she now needs help covering basic living necessities like food, rent, and utilities.

Hi friends and family. We are fundraising for my sister Sylvia, who is currently in the hospital facing a serious medical condition. It's been a very difficult and emotional time for our family, and she now urgently needs specialized medical equipment to support her recovery — equipment that insurance, unfortunately, will not cover.

My sister is still in the hospital. She's at Sierra Medical Center. She wishes to thank all of you who have reached out to help. The stress of missing work is a big deal for her. So having this help has eased her mind. She has shown some signs of improvement but no word of the Dr about how much longer she will be there. We ask that you pray for her recovery. She could use the encouragement. Thank you!!
