We Need Your Help

With much distress, my family is facing an extremely challenging moment in time. We are in despair and in desperate need of your assistance. My daughter is facing a felony charge, and her story is being told in a different light by the world. Unfortunately, I am unable share the details. Above all that is being portrayed and done, I need to provider her with the medical and legal services that she needs. As her mother, my stomach is in knots, but I’m forever prayerful.

For those who don’t know my daughter, she is a 27-year-old single mother. She spent her life focused on the criminal justice system, literally from the age of 10. This was her passion and her goal. She had a focus on assisting the youth who faced legal challenges. She attended an early college in Durham, NC, and matriculated from an HBCU in Greensboro, NC within 2 years of her start date. Jade earned a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice with a focus in forensics. After losing her father unexpectedly during the pandemic only months before college graduation and days before her 21st birthday, there were clearly some psychological changes that went undetected. In experiencing this ordeal, now we are facing the unthinkable. My daughter has no criminal history. In spite of what is recently being said and all of the logistics, she doesn’t have a criminal mindset. We will face financial, legal, and medical battles in the days to come. We, her immediate family, are not financially equipped to handle this, so I am asking for any assistance that you can provide.

With God on our side, we are hopeful that we can get her the assistance that she needs to move forward and not become just another media story in today’s world. After getting past all of the storylines, judgments, and opinions that we will endure, we are also asking for prayers from the prayer warriors. We need the extra strength to endure the days ahead.
