On Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, I received a call that my dad had been burnt really bad and needed to go to the hospital. My siblings and I rushed over to him to find a huge burn on the left side of his back and neck. We then learned that he was set on fire intentionally as a joke or some sort of prank. I called the police and ambulance to help him, which no one did prior for almost 12 hours. Later that day, I received videos of my dad being lit aflame multiple times and tortured. Many people were recording, laughing, and not stopping the vicious acts. Instead, they encouraged it. Videos were sent to me of my father being tortured, trying to leave, being knocked down, set on fire, and beaten. No one helped him.

My dad is a 49-year-old man, soon to be 50, with epilepsy. He had just gotten out of the hospital a week before from having a seizure. My dad is a loving, kind, genuine, non-confrontational man. We called him “the peacemaker” because that’s who he is. He didn’t deserve to be burnt alive! He now has to sit in the hospital with 3rd-degree burns on his neck, back, and leg. He already has to go through the financial burden with medical bills.

I just want to make his time in the hospital as comfortable as possible on his long road to recovery. There’s no definite time when he’ll be able to come home; he has already had 2 surgeries. Thank you all for anything donated. God bless.
