Stand With Us: Blayke & Braxton's Healing
Donation protected
On April 9th, 2025 my brothers Blayke, & Braxton were involved in serious tragedy.
This included not only one, but TWO serious accidents. The initial accident was a collision with a wrong way driver. Fortunately the kids were perfectly fine after this. It is the second accident that caused the most damage. Blayke was hit by responding Minnesota State Trooper Ryan Moeser with his squad car. One would think that an officer responding to a call involving a wrong way driver would be on the highest alert. It seems that was not the case, and now an innocent 17 year old is paying the price.
Blayke is left with a Traumatic Brain Injury, a C4 Spinal Cord Injury, and has had at least 20 different surgeries to help repair the damage that was caused. He will spend some of the most important times of his life in the hospital.. Senior Year Prom, High School Graduation, and his 18th Birthday on June 1st.
Blayke will need at least 3 months of inpatient rehabilitation after he is discharged from Hennepin County Medical Center Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The costs associated with a Cervical Spinal Cord Injury alone are astronomical.
Braxton suffered a lacerated eye which will include two surgeries to repair. One has been completed, and one will be completed at a later date. He was left with a torn ACL which will also require surgery to repair. Most importantly he was left with a lifetime of trauma. Seeing something so horrific happen to your brother is something that no child should have to go through.
The key things that we will be raising funds for are:
- Medical Expenses
- Home Modifications for Blayke (Ramps, accessible bathrooms, widened doorways)
- Assistive Technology to make life easier for Blayke
- Housing for Family during Therapy
Learning how to navigate such a life altering tragedy has been a difficult task for everyone involved. We appreciate all of the prayers, and support!
