Thank you for visiting this page. We created it to keep our family and friends updated in one place. We truly appreciate your support, encouragement, and prayers—it means more than we can express.

Our mom, Twyla, was recently diagnosed with triple-negative carcinoma with ductal features, an aggressive form of breast cancer affecting her right breast. We’re still processing everything, but we’re surrounded by love and excellent care. We have a strong medical team and we are staying positive.

• On June 20th, she traveled to St. Louis and underwent surgery to have the chemo port inserted.

• On June 23rd, she had an MRI that showed no signs of cancer in her chest wall, muscle, left breast, or lymph nodes.

• On July 10th, she will begin chemo treatments. This will be 8 rounds of chemo, on a 3-week cycle. She will then have a mastectomy, followed by another course of chemo.
