From Tori’s mom Carmen + family,
Our hearts are heavy, but our faith remains strong as we rally around our precious Tori: a vibrant 22-year-old whose infectious smile and boundless energy have touched so many lives.
Tori’s Story:
Tori has always been a light in this world. From her early years in gymnastics to her time as a competitive cheerleader at Lakeland High School, she has embodied the true spirit of the Dreadnaughts—fierce, determined, and uplifting to everyone around her. Her commitment to her sport taught her perseverance, grit, and the courage to face life head-on—qualities we know she’ll call on in this fight.
Whether cheering from the sidelines or simply brightening someone’s day with her joyful presence, Tori has a unique gift for making people feel loved and seen. She’s both a momma’s girl and a daddy’s girl, and her heart has created a family that extends far beyond blood. The outpouring of love we’ve received is a reflection of the many lives she’s touched.
The Challenge We Face:
On Monday night, Tori was involved in a devastating car accident at 540A and Crews Lake Rd. She was ejected from her vehicle and rushed to the ICU with severe trauma.
Her injuries include:
Significant brain and brain stem trauma
A craniectomy (removal of part of the skull) to relieve pressure and stop internal bleeding. Fractures to her face, shoulder blade, and elbow. A possible fracture to the C1 vertebrae and injury to neck ligaments. Road rash across her body. Injuries to her spleen and possibly the optic nerve. She remains intubated and heavily sedated.
Doctors have told us it could be 4–5 months before they can even begin the process of replacing the portion of her skull. It will likely be that long—or longer—before we understand the full extent of her injuries and long-term prognosis.
Angels Among Us:
In those critical first moments, God placed angels at the scene—bystanders who stayed with Tori, comforted her, prayed over her, and administered life-saving first aid. Though we may never know all their names, their presence and compassion will never be forgotten. If you are one of these heroes, or know who they are, please reach out—we would be forever grateful.
We are also deeply thankful for the first responders and medical professionals whose swift, expert care pulled Tori back from what felt like certain loss. Their ongoing dedication gives us hope each day.
The Road Ahead:
While we’re encouraged by the early signs of progress—improved brain swelling, coordinated pupil response, and faint responses to stimuli—Tori has a long road ahead. The journey will involve months (and likely years) of intensive care, multiple surgeries, rehabilitation, and ongoing support.
How You Can Help:
Tori’s medical coverage is limited, and the costs are mounting quickly. Your donation will help cover:
Emergency surgeries and ICU care
Long-term hospitalization and rehabilitation
Medical equipment and specialized therapy
Travel and living expenses for her family during this extended recovery
Any contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference in Tori’s healing journey. Every dollar will go directly toward her care and recovery.
Our Faith and Hope:
We believe in Tori. We believe in her strength, her spirit, and the God who has carried us this far. We've seen His love reflected in every prayer, every message, and every act of generosity from friends, family, and strangers.
Tori is a fighter. The same determination she showed as an athlete will carry her through this battle. With your continued prayers, support, and love, we believe she will overcome—and return to the world with even more purpose, joy, and light.
Thank you for being part of Tori’s village. Thank you for walking this road with us.
Please consider sharing this page with others who love Tori or may be moved to help. Updates on her condition and progress will be posted regularly.
With love and gratitude,
Tori’s Family
