As a teacher who stood firm against systemic corruption after 15 years of witnessing decisions that didn’t prioritize children's best interests, I made the choice to take a stand. The Tooele County School District violated agreements by hiring unqualified individuals for crucial roles, with some board members complicit in these legal violations.

With my husband by my side, we navigated district policies to confront this issue, involving our family actively in raising awareness through his school board campaign. Although many paths have been challenging, encouragement from others who faced similar challenges has been a source of strength.

This GoFundMe is a rallying cry as I pursue a civil lawsuit against the Tooele County School District for retaliatory termination, seeking compensation for lost wages and benefits while advocating for meaningful policy change.

Who do you turn to when district administration retaliates? After filing a complaint with the state office and being told it’s a local issue, the road seems daunting. I wouldn’t have pursued this without clear evidence of violations. The funds will support attorney fees; we’ve already invested nearly $45,000. I believe a settlement is within reach, and if achieved, every dollar raised will be donated directly back to teachers and students in classrooms. We are committed to real change, not profit!
