Stand with Tonya Hamilton
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
We are reaching out on behalf of Tonya Hamilton, and it is with deep humility and hope. She is a completely disabled woman facing unimaginable health and legal battles, and she urgently needs your help.
Over the past few years, she has endured multiple strokes, which left the entire right side of her body paralyzed. She is currently living with renal failure, with her kidneys functioning at just 1%, requiring dialysis and the hope of a transplant. Earlier this year, she received devastating news: she was removed from the transplant list after doctors discovered a stage 4 cancer mass in her chest, which originated from the renal cancer. Though the mass was removed, this diagnosis took away her chance for a life-saving kidney transplant—for now.
Because of her condition, she requires 24-hour care and is unable to care for herself or earn a living. And now, amidst all of this, she is facing a painful personal crisis: her husband has filed for a divorce and she is in need of legal representation to fight for the justice and security she deserves.
Legal aid is costly, and she simply does not have the financial means to take this on alone. She is not currently been approved for disability or any type of financial aid. We are asking for your help to raise funds for an attorney who can advocate for her and ensure her rights are protected. Every donation—big or small—will go directly toward her legal expenses and give her a fighting chance at peace and fairness in this overwhelming time.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing her story with others who might be able to help.
Prayers are much appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, caring, and standing with her.
With love and gratitude,
The family of Tonya Hamilton
