Stand with Tony and Heather to Defeat Cancer

For those of you who know Tony, you know he's the one who helps, gives, listens, and understands. He's the strong one, the protector, the last to eat. He is a dual veteran of the Army and Navy. He is always giving to others, never taking for himself. There is no challenge his resilience, sense of humor, and gratitude have not been able to meet.

Many of you may not know that Tony has quietly defeated cancer twice in recent years. With his wife, Heather, by his side, they have been an incredible team showing inspirational courage, despite the misfortune they've suffered. Their road has been long and their battle scars visible, but they have shown time and again what love can accomplish.

Now they are facing cancer for a third time and Tony is being treated at Duke, one of the highest rated cancer centers in the country. He is receiving the most up-to-date therapy that exists (Heather is making sure of that) and they are optimistic Tony will again emerge victorious, but the costs have been great. The side effects to treatment, the sleepless nights, the financial cost... the burdens have been relentless and it is time they got some relief.

It can be difficult to know how to help someone who would never ask for it, but that's why platforms like this exist. Helping families affected by cancer cover their medical bills, travel costs, missed wages, etc. allows them to focus on treatment and recovery. A little help from many can make a huge difference.

Tony and Heather are deeply humbled by and forever grateful for the support they have received from friends and family. They remain strong and focused, but too often, it is people like them who suffer in silence. Please join me in showing them they are not in this fight alone.
