Help Tobi Raise Funds For Dad's Cancer Treatment

It is with heavy hearts that we come together to support our dear Coach Tobi and his family during this challenging time. We stand by them as they navigate the difficult journey of supporting Tobi’s father, Wale Shenbanjo, as he bravely battles late-stage prostate cancer.

Like Tobi, Wale is a vibrant, active individual. Before cancer immobilized him, Wale spent his days running and cycling, treating clients as a talented massage therapist based in Atlanta, and cooking and sharing delicious Nigerian dishes. Wale's zest for life has touched many.

In most cases of prostate cancer, doctors would use conventional treatments like chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery. Unfortunately, Wale’s cancer was discovered too late to use these options. The day he was admitted to the Emergency Room, imaging showed that his cancer had spread to his spine.

With a prognosis of less than a year, Wale's medical team recommended Gerson Therapy as the best bet for prolonging his life and improving his overall wellness. Gerson Therapy is a novel, rigorous treatment that includes consuming 20 pounds of crushed organic fruits and vegetables daily, alongside other treatments.

Gerson Therapy is expensive and not covered by insurance. While Wale has a bit of money in savings from massage therapy, he won’t have nearly enough to cover the treatments. Tobi and his family are pitching-in to help cover the costs.
