Hi, my name is Tinesha Davis, and I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this. But right now, me and my family are facing one of the hardest times of our lives, and I’m reaching out with humility and hope.
Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been in and out of the hospital dealing with serious health issues that stemmed from having 3 suicide attempts back to back. I was involuntarily committed for months, which kept me from being able to fully work and provide for my family. One of the most traumatic experiences I’ve had was during a stay at Holly Hill Hospital, where I was assaulted by staff members. That experience has left deep emotional wounds that I’m still trying to heal from, on top of everything else I’ve been going through physically.
In the midst of all this, my grandfather passed away, and I had to travel from North Carolina to Philadelphia to be there for his burial. He meant the world to me, and I wouldn’t have missed it for anything—but the cost of travel and being away added even more financial pressure to a situation that was already overwhelming.
Now, we are facing eviction. With all the medical expenses, lost income, travel costs, and trying to keep things afloat for my family, we’ve fallen behind and are now at risk of losing our home.
I’m asking for your help to raise $10,000 to cover lawyer fees, back rent, basic necessities, and to give us a chance to breathe while I continue to recover and get back on my feet. I’m a fighter, and I’m doing everything I can—but right now, I just can’t do it alone.
If you can give, no matter the amount, I would be forever grateful. And if you can’t give, please consider sharing this with others who may be able to help. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than I can put into words.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Tinesha Davis
