Stand with the Singleton's as Adelaide Fights Cancer

Donation protected
No parent ever imagines hearing the words “your child has cancer.” For the Singleton family, those words came on August 22 when their 11-year-old daughter, Adelaide (“Addie”), was diagnosed with osteosarcoma — a form of bone cancer that began with a tumor in her tibia.

In the weeks leading up to this, Addie had complained of knee pain. While on a family vacation, a bruise appeared, so her parents took her in for an X-ray. That image raised concern, and she was scheduled for an MRI the following week. But in God’s kindness, a close friend who is a radiologist was able to get her an MRI the same day. Within days, Addie was admitted to Mission Hospital, had a biopsy, and by Friday afternoon the diagnosis was confirmed — three days before her original MRI was even scheduled.

She will begin weekly chemotherapy on August 27, followed by surgery, and then many more months of treatment. The family is grateful the cancer was caught early and has not spread — even as they face a long and difficult road ahead.

As you may know, this is not the only medical battle they are facing. Their youngest, Ella, has epilepsy and requires ongoing care and monitoring.

The Singletons are doing everything they can to stay strong for their children — but the emotional and financial strain is overwhelming. At the same time, their faith in God is steady. Even in their exhaustion and grief, they are trusting Him to carry them, and they are asking for prayer above all else.

What They’re Facing:
  • Multiple day hospital stays and repeated weekly chemo visits for Addie
  • Travel costs to and from the hospital, parking, meals, and time away from home
  • Lost work income as both parents juggle hospital stays, appointments, and caring for Bennett, Addie, and Ella
  • Ongoing expenses for Ella’s epilepsy treatments, medications, and specialized care
  • Everyday life costs — groceries, utilities, childcare — which don’t pause during a medical crisis

How You Can Help

We are seeking to raise $25,000 to help lift some of this burden. Your gift will go directly toward:

  • Out-of-pocket medical expenses
  • Travel and meals during treatment
  • Childcare and household needs while the parents are at the hospital
  • Helping the family feel financially secure while they focus on what matters most: Adelaide beating cancer

Our Hope

The Singleton family has asked first for prayer — for Addie, for all of their children, for strength to walk this road, and for God to be glorified through it all.

As we pray, we also have the opportunity to come alongside them in tangible ways. This is our chance to help carry the weight, give them room to breathe, and let them know they are not walking alone.

Every gift matters. Every prayer matters. Every share of this page helps.

Thank you for standing with them in this season, and for trusting with us that God is near and faithful.
