Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this, our names are Mark and Angel Shortt (brother and sister-n-law of Tim Shelburn).

Friends and Family, we are raising funds for Tim, Sarah, and Maggie Shelburn. It is with a heavy heart, that we share that Tim was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic cancer which has spread to his liver. Tim is unable to work, which has caused a large financial strain on their family. They have already started to downsize to try and make ends meet.

About Tim:

Tim and Sarah have been married since 2008 and just celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary last month. It should come as no surprise to all that as sick as Tim has been he managed to ensure they were still able to celebrate their anniversary. Tim and Sarah have one daughter, Maggie, age 12. Maggie has been a true blessing to Sarah and Tim and the joy of their lives. Tim is well known for getting a daily picture of Maggie "Pose of the day"  and being an excellent father who is very involved and loves being a dad and husband.

Tim is a huge BBQ fanatic and for those who have had the privilege to eat any of his BBQ, it is like heaven on earth! Tim has also turned his passion into a following, he has over 53,000 followers on his Instagram and has had many sponsors over the years courting him to promote their products. Tim has donated countless hours to make BBQ for events, special occasions, and to help others. Tim enjoys the fact that he can bring joy into people’s lives through BBQ.

Tim usually barbecues nightly and enjoys sharing his latest cooks with his thousands of followers, so when he quit having the energy to BBQ last month, we were all concerned. Our concerns were realized this month with the Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis. Anyone who knows Tim knows that he would much rather be helping someone on GoFundMe rather than receiving. Tim has always been a giver of his time, energy, and resources and gladly helps anyone in need, so it is not normal for him to be in the recipient role. 

I pray and respectfully ask that we all show Tim, Sarah, and Maggie our love and help take the financial weight off of them, so they can focus on family and Tim’s treatments.
