Dear friends, family, and beloved community,

More than three years ago, before we opened the doors to our first brick-and-mortar in Brooklyn Heights, we dreamed of expanding beyond our humble kitchen in Washington Heights. Greenpoint felt like the next stop on our journey — a young, vibrant neighborhood that welcomed flavor, culture, and community.

When we found the perfect little space tucked into the heart of Greenpoint, we gave it everything we had. We built it with our own hands. We transformed it with love. We filled the kitchen with top-of-the-line electric equipment, decorated the walls ourselves, and even added a patio to give you a place to gather and enjoy something special.

We tried to make it a true community spot — not just another restaurant, but a place where flavor meets culture, where everyone could afford to enjoy good, plant-based food. We lowered prices, shifted from a dine-in vibe to a fast-casual concept, and did everything we could to meet the neighborhood where it was.

But sometimes, hard work and good intentions aren’t enough.

The reality is — this space, as special as it is, became financially unsustainable. Rent is high. Utilities and labor are rising. And truthfully, our main location in Brooklyn Heights has been carrying the full weight of both restaurants — including staff, equipment, supplies, and bills — just to keep Greenpoint alive.

We’re not a big company. We’ve never had outside investors. We’ve done all of this ourselves, for the love of our culture and the dream of bringing healthy, plant-based Latin food to New York.

We’re not in this for ego, competition, or profit. We’re here to serve with purpose. But at this point, continuing in Greenpoint would not only hurt us emotionally — it would break us financially.

So, with heavy hearts, we’re preparing to say goodbye to Greenpoint.
