Romans 5: 3-5 "Our pain has a purpose"
Our difficulties may feel heavy, but their weight is designed to drive us into deeper intimacy with God, strengthening us and anchoring us to the steady hope of His love.
Hello my name is Maurissa Montemayor, Juan Montemayor's daughter. I am setting up this gofundme page on behalf of my parents Juan and Celese Montemayor to help and support a very tragic incident that happened Monday, June 3rd 2024 during the early morning hours. This unexpected work accident has become a financial emergency for our family. My dad who is well known for being a hard worker and provider for his family, a good friend who loves to help others as well as a faithful servant for the Lord. My dad has sustained unbearable injuries from 60-65 percent of his body and will no longer be capable in providing for him and my mom. My mom received a call at 3:36 am from the Sleepy Eye Police Dept. stating that my dad had been in a work accident and was arriving at the hospital and she needed to come because it was severe. When arriving at the hospital in Sleepy Eye she then was told that my dad had been severely burned and needed to be flown out to Regions Hospital Burn Center in St Paul. He was transported to New Ulm Airport by ambulance and taken by a charter flight to St. Paul where we then found out he has 2nd and 3rd degree burns and has a dislocated shoulder. We were told he had a survival rate of 65 percent due to his age and the burns to his body. These burns were caused by a machine at work that hold 200 degree water. We are not sure what happened or how but in the process my dad will be going through numerous amounts of surgeries and will be unable to work. This will be a long road to recovery and will set them back financially. I am asking for any kind of donation to help with traveling, meals and financial expenses for my mom. We will need all the support and prayers through this tough time. She will be staying in St. Paul to be near the hospital to be able to be closer to my dad. My parents have been married for almost 35 years. Through out the years he has been the main provider for the home and its sad and scary to know that this incident will be a life changing event and financially a burden for my mom to have to go through at this time. Thank you for taking the time in reading our story on behalf of The Montemayor family and I just hope that in the process of my dad's journey to healing that you would find it in your heart to help out my mom in any way possible. I will keep updating my dads journey to recovery.
