Ok, friends and family, I was hoping it would not come down to having to do a gofundme page, but unfortunately it has.

My husband, who is a diabetic, got a blister on his big toe from his work shoes rubbing on it. The blister got infected and he had to have his toe amputated. The area around the amputation got infected and the doctors had to do a 2nd surgery and cut down his foot to try to get rid of the infection. The foot still wasn't healing so the doctors did a 3rd surgery to put stints in his leg to open his veins, but ended up putting balloons in instead to try to aid with the circulation to his leg and foot so that the wounds will heal. Last week we went to the doctor and they are still wanting to amputate even further, this time just below his knee. Joey is devastated.

While all this is happening I am attempting to keep the house running, work a F/T job, and pay all the bills, and I am failing at it. I have applied for government assistance but was told that I make too much to get assistance. I explained that I am the only one working 2 of the 4 people in my house are children and the other adult cannot work. They didn't seem to have much sympathy. I refuse to quit my job to get government assistance, that is not what it is there for. Joey has applied for emergency SS disability but it will be 6-8 months before we hear from them. He has also applied for unemployment since Joey lost his job due to the surgeries. I hate to ask for your help but we are in a bind. We have are still short on rent and a few bills, plus still need a few groceries, this will be an ongoing need until the SS office or unemployment kick in, so that it why the goal is $8000. It will help supplement my income so that we can keep our place and pay our bills for about 5 months, at least til our lease is up and we can move to a cheaper place.

I am asking that if you can help, please help, any amount you can spare will be greatly appreciated.
