Dear friends and family,

I come to you with a deep sense of love, writing on behalf of the Deffendall family. Their precious baby girl, Emmalynn Faith, was born on Wednesday, April 2nd at 6:52 AM, weighing 6lbs 9oz and measuring 20 inches long. She entered the world through an emergency c-section and has already shown incredible strength in the face of overwhelming odds.

Emmalynn has been diagnosed with Trisomy 13, a rare genetic condition. This means she could be in the hospital for months. The Deffendalls obviously want to stay close by to her, which means their expenses will be through the roof - hotels, food, gas, medical.

This is a season of unimaginable emotion—of love, fear, hope, and heartache all wrapped together. The Deffendalls are cherishing every single moment they have with Emmalynn!

That’s why I’ve set up this GoFundMe—because many of you have asked how you can help, and this is one way we can lighten their load just a little. Your donation, no matter the size, is a direct way to show the Deffendalls that they are not alone. It allows them to stay focused on Emmalynn, without worrying about all the other things piling up around them.
