Hello, we are the Chavez family, and we are reaching out during the most painful and frightening time of our lives.

Our father was picked up by ICE in San Pedro, CA, while simply walking back to his car. In an instant, he was taken from us. He left behind a family of five who need him every day, including a teenage daughter and a son with special needs who has been devastated by his absence.

We are a low-income family, and we are desperately seeking help.

Why We Need Your Support

Our dad has lived in the United States for 30 years. He is a hardworking, loving father who has always put his family first. Now he is being held in an ICE detention center where conditions are harsh and where many Hispanics, like him, are not treated with basic dignity.

He is also a diabetic, and his health has been getting worse due to the lack of proper medical care. He is trying to stay strong, but his body is weak, and he is suffering.

What the Funds Will Be Used For

We were told that to move forward with his case, we need to have approximately $10,000 ready for legal fees and to fight for his release. His court date is January 6th, and time is running out.

These funds will help us pay for:

    •    Legal representation

    •    Filing fees and case expenses

    •    Any costs related to his release and medical needs

We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone.
