Dear well-wishers,
I am reaching out with heavy hearts to support a loved one who’s fighting for his life through an unimaginable tragedy.
Early morning on June 9th, Tee, who is 47 years old, suffered a massive stroke, followed by 2 more severe hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes. He is currently receiving treatment in the NSICU in Plano, TX. He had undergone a craniectomy. The hemorrhage is large, causing a lot of pressure on his brain, shifting it. There was more swelling spreading. Three days later, we were told his brain is pretty much damaged, and there’s no repair or much improvement expected.
Tee was raised by his mom, and she took it pretty hard. No parent should endure losing a child. It broke my heart when she said, “I’m older, I’m supposed to go first.” Mom is also recovering from a stroke she had in November. She’s trying to stay strong for Tee. We wanted to wait a few more days before making a decision on Tee. He just had a serious surgery and might need a longer recovery period. He’s been battling other health and mental issues since he was 6 years old. On the 5th day, Tee finally gave us hope and peace. He opened one eye and had movement in his right hand. The power of prayers!! Please stand with him, help him fight. Help him have another chance of life. Whether it’s a donation or a prayer, we are in need of all support. We miss our uncle, brother, son, nephew and friend daily.
Without a strong social support system, he is now facing a difficult situation both medically and financially. The road to his recovery will be a lengthy and slow process. He will require more hospitalizations and rehabilitation. Prolonged periods of rehab for physical, speech, daily tasks, and cognitive functions. We want to help him overcome this hurdle. With some support, we know he will. He has already shown some signs of improvement.
I’d like to create this GoFundMe to take care of some of the financial strain of his recovery. We are humbly asking for your support and prayers. Any amount will be deeply appreciated, giving him the best possible chance of healing. Donations will go directly towards Tee’s medical expenses and recovery.
With heartfelt gratitude and hope,
Tee’s loved ones
