In a huge victory, Teamsters members elected the insurgent O'Brien Zuckerman Teamsters United Slate to lead North America's most powerful union. Teamsters United was backed by Teamsters for a Democratic Union (TDU), a grassroots movement of union activists who organize against contract givebacks and business unionism.

The victory is a warning shot to Corporate America and a vindication of TDU grassroots organizing to fight givebacks, develop activists, reform local unions and transform our union from the bottom up.

We've won new leadership and a new direction in the Teamsters. But one election won't remake our union overnight. That will take new campaigns and a mobilized rank and file.

 

TDU is raising funds to train and mobilize rank-and-file activists for the battles ahead, a potential strike at UPS, strategic organizing at Amazon, members organizing to take back their local unions, and more.
