Our Story:

On March 16, 2025, our lives changed forever when my 23-year-old brother, Jontavues ( goes by Tay ) became a victim of a senseless drive-by shooting. This tragic event has left our family devastated, but we are determined to fight for his recovery and provide the support he needs during this difficult time.

Tay is not just a brother; he is a beloved son, a caring sibling, and a friend to many. He has always been the light in our family, known for his kindness and willingness to help others. Unfortunately, due to this tragic incident, he is now facing significant medical challenges that require urgent attention and ongoing care.

As a single mother of nine children, our mom, Anika McGruder, is doing her best to hold our family together during this crisis. However, the medical expenses and additional costs related to Tay’s recovery are overwhelming. We are reaching out to our community for help to cover these unexpected expenses, including:

- Medical bills and treatment costs

- Rehabilitation and therapy

- Daily living expenses for my Mother as we support Tay in his recovery.
