Hi, my name is Nicole Wotherspoon. I never would have imagined that I'd have to write this on behalf of my cousin, Tammy Rhome.

For eight months, Tammy was bounced around by doctors who misdiagnosed her illness as psoriasis. Unfortunately, that was not the case. She recently found out that what she actually has is Stage 3 Vulvar Cancer.

Tammy needs to undergo aggressive radiation therapy five days a week for at least seven weeks consecutively. Once that's done, she'll then need to proceed with chemotherapy in hopes of shrinking the tumor to see what her options will be thereafter. It will be a long, hard fight, but Tammy is a fighter.

Although my cousin Tammy would like nothing more than to continue helping her community through her work in nursing, the doctors have made it clear that this treatment will be much too aggressive and painful for her to continue working for an extended time, and this has proven to be true.

This is devastating news for her, given that she's the sole breadwinner of her household due to her husband being disabled for the last three years. She's the mother of an eight-year-old and two young adult children who are still trying to navigate their way through life.

I'm launching this GoFundMe so we can help lessen her financial hardship as she undergoes lifesaving treatment.

This fund will help cover:

* Medical bills, medications, and copays that are not fully covered by insurance.

* Living expenses for when she must take time off work to rest from her cancer treatment.

* A space to rest for her and her child without the worry of how to keep it going.

* Supplemental therapies for strength, nutrition, and her mental well-being.
