I am posting this on behalf of my friend, Tamika Wells. She is a gifted writer, poet, community activist, and more. She is headed to seminary this fall and will be a wonderful pastor. Ministry to others comes naturally to her! At the moment, she is facing significant financial challenges resulting mainly from a car accident in March. She was hit by someone running a red light; both her car and her body suffered from the impact. As a result of this accident, she was sidelined from her work for two months. She normally works several jobs to make ends meet (she has so much energy!!) After the accident, she could not work all of them, and the bills piled up. She needs help to pay off bills and get through the next few months until she starts seminary, where she has a full scholarship, in September. I am posting this page to help her raise money for rent, food, utility bills, insurance, transportation, etc. (i.e., living expenses) for June and July and moving / living expenses in August.

Another way you could support her is by purchasing a book of poetry that she published: Into the Soul of a Woman A Poetic Journey from Tragedy to Triumph. Tamika is a gifted poet, and reading the book would also give you insight into the challenges she has faced in her life as well as appreciation for the strength of her faith and her resilience in the face of these challenges.
