Stand with Tala: Overcome War Hardship

I am Tala from Gaza, 16 years old.

Despite my young age, I have witnessed events far beyond what I can bear. My suffering began in 2014 when I lost my father at the hands of the occupation. That was the hardest day of our lives. My father left us when we were just children, and my mother had to take on the responsibility of caring for me and my four siblings: Ismat, Saja, Lian, and Mayar.

Despite all this pain, we tried to adapt, but during the recent aggression on Gaza, the situation became worse than ever before. We experienced the horrors of war and suffering, and a cold tent became all we had.

In this war, which can only be described as a “war of extermination,” we lost everything: our home, our memories, and the people dearest to our hearts. We were left alone. Now, we live in a small tent, with no shelter or security, struggling to survive each day. We have also lost our right to education because we lack the devices needed for online learning.
