Let's help Sydney & her family heal!

Update 12/5/25: Sydney is miraculously awake and working so HARD to heal. Today, she received really good news regarding her sight, and her doctors now believe she will be blessed with vision in both eyes after all. She is facing multiple reconstructive surgeries as well as months (or more) of intensive rehabilitation therapies and specialized schooling for her TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Dr. Caroline is unsure if or when she will be able to re-open her solo practitioner practice as she has been by Sydney's side every moment since the accident and will continue to do so. Since she is a single parent and self-employed, she doesn't qualify for FMLA or many of the other relief programs designed to lighten the load in these situations.

Donations will go directly toward helping this family survive the unimaginable. Your support will help to relieve the crushing medical costs, daily expenses that continue even in crisis, and the constant travel to and from the hospital. It will help provide the therapies, home modifications, and potentially lifelong care that Sydney needs after her devastating injury.

Your generosity will also give Dr. Caroline the chance to seek the emotional support and therapy she needs as she tries to process the horrific accident and the devastating weeks since.

Every contribution, no matter the size, is a bit of hope that helps this family face their new reality with confidence, dignity, and the knowledge that they are not alone.

11/23/25: Our beloved friend and gifted healer, Dr. Caroline, and her family suffered a heartbreaking tragedy this past Friday when Sydney was involved in a serious equestrian accident. To allow Dr. Caroline to stay by Sydney’s side through every step of her healing journey, which will include multiple surgeries over several weeks, we’re coming together to support a family that has poured so much love and care into our community.
As many of you know, Dr. Caroline is a single mother of five and a devoted foster to countless rescued animals each year—all while running a practice that heals our community one person at a time. She has now closed her clinic to focus solely on caring for Sydney and her family.
This November, she had planned to raise funds for two causes close to her heart. Now, it’s our turn to return that generosity. Any support you can offer during this unimaginably difficult time means more than words can express.

Any proceeds not used to support Sydney’s healing will be paid forward.

From Dr. Caroline - Sydney Grace Update ✨

I wanted to share a quick update on Sydney’s condition, as so many of you have been praying for her and holding our family close.

We are still facing a lot of unknowns, but we are moving in the right direction. Sydney is showing us miracles every single day. She is now breathing on her own and no longer intubated. She can move her body and is responding to stimulus, but she has not woken up yet—so we aren’t able to fully assess her neurological status or the level of traumatic brain injury just yet.

Her ophthalmologist is cautiously optimistic that she will have vision in her injured eye. The orbit itself is intact, and ironically, the orbital fractures actually protected her eye by giving the swelling somewhere to go. She will need several surgeries in the coming days and weeks to repair the orbital and skull fractures. Her brain bleed appears stable for now, and she will likely have more imaging today to evaluate the smaller structures and see how the swelling is progressing.

Plastics did a phenomenal job on her sutures. She is extremely swollen—as you can imagine—but she still looks as beautiful and sweet as ever. The staff at Nemours has been incredible, and I could not ask for better care or more compassionate people surrounding her.

I am profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love, kindness, and prayers for Sydney and for all of my children. Being a solo parent is never easy, but trying to be in two places at once—at Sydney’s bedside while my other kids are at home—has been overwhelmingly hard. Thank you to everyone who has stepped in to feed them, support them, and hold them up while I stay here with my girl. It means everything.

I will update as I can. I wish I could respond to each and every message. Please keep those prayers coming for my sweet Sydney Grace. ✨

All my love and gratitude—from my family to yours.

✨ SYDNEY GRACE MIRACLE UPDATE ✨

Tonight, I witnessed something I will remember for the rest of my life… my baby woke up.

Just days ago, she was lifeless in my arms, and I truly did not know if I would ever hear her voice again. Today… she is awake, talking, responding, smiling, and even saying “I love you, Mommy.”
Hearing those words from her bruised, swollen little face was the greatest blessing of my life. My sweet girl is a walking miracle.

She still can’t open her eyes yet because of the swelling, but she is fully responding with words, moving on command, and showing a strength that has left her entire medical team speechless. God showed up. The angels showed up. And this community’s prayers wrapped around her like armor.

She doesn’t remember the accident, and she is being unbelievably brave navigating a world she currently cannot see. I’ve explained every sound, every tube, every monitor, and the mountain of teddy bears she has received — and she is meeting every moment with courage.

We are hoping to leave the PICU soon, and preparing for her next big surgery on 12/10. The hard work begins now: PT, OT, early rehab, and balancing activity with the quiet her brain desperately needs to rest and heal. We still have a long road ahead, but now we walk it with hope instead of fear.

I always knew she was still in there.
I could feel her fighting.
And tonight… she showed us.

Please keep praying.
Please keep holding her in your hearts.
She clearly has a powerful purpose here — and an army behind her.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for every single person who has prayed, messaged, donated, helped my other children, and held us up when I could not hold myself. God is so good, and the power of community is beyond anything I’ve ever known.

And with my mom as her guardian angel… maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. ✨

Thank you — from the deepest part of my soul.
Tonight was the most incredible night of my life.
