Dear Friends, Supporters, and Kind Strangers, update on how things are going

I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help like this—but here I am, doing exactly that. I’ve been diagnosed with lung cancer, and every day since has been a physical, emotional, and financial battle.

Lung cancer doesn’t just take a toll on your body—it affects every part of your life. Breathing becomes harder, energy becomes rare, and even the simplest tasks feel overwhelming. The treatments—radiation, chemo, scans, medications—are brutal. But so is the cost.

Despite trying to stay strong and keep going, the bills have stacked up quickly. Insurance only covers so much, and many treatments, co-pays, and travel expenses aren’t covered at all. Every dollar goes toward giving me more time, better care, and the chance to focus on healing—not just surviving.

Asking for help isn’t easy. But I’m learning that it’s okay to lean on others during hard times. If you're able to give, it means more than I can say. And if you can’t, sharing my story helps just as much.
