My name is Jay. I was born and raised in Spanish Town St Catherine, but St. Elizabeth became my home through my husband and his family. Even though I now live overseas, my heart is with the people in Black River, Brompton, Crawford, and the surrounding communities.
Since Hurricane Melissa, many of us have been unable to reach our family and friends. Communication lines are down, roads are blocked, electricity is out, and some communities are completely isolated. We are still waiting to hear if our loved ones are safe.
The damage across St. Elizabeth is severe.
Homes and roofs have been destroyed.
Crops and livestock — the main source of income for many families — are gone.
Clean water, food, and basic supplies are now difficult to access.
This fundraiser is to help families in St. Elizabeth rebuild and recover.
All funds raised will be distributed in partnership with the Prospect Outreach Foundation, a registered and trusted charitable organization committed to supporting families and vulnerable communities.
Registration #: CAIN100-1755C
Funds raised will go toward:
• Roof repairs and building materials
• Food, clean water, hygiene supplies, and baby essentials
• Support for farmers and households who lost their livelihood
• Assistance for elders, single parents, and vulnerable families
I will be coordinating with trusted community members on the ground to ensure that support reaches those who need it most as soon as access is restored.
Even if you are unable to give financially, sharing this fundraiser is a blessing.
Every share, every prayer, and every act of kindness helps us move forward.
Thank you for standing with St. Elizabeth as we rebuild — together.
We are strong. We are resilient. We rise again.
