Stand with Spencer in Her Fight Against Breast Cancer

Dear Family, Friends, and Prayer Warriors,
On January 14, 2025, our world changed when my beloved wife, Spencer Radzanowski, was diagnosed with breast cancer. As we process this news, we cling to our faith and the truth that “the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). Today, we humbly ask our community to stand with us in prayer and financial support as we walk this path together.

Spencer is the heartbeat of our home. A devoted mother to Parker (13), Liam (7), and Kaelynn (4), she pours her love into homeschooling our children, nurturing their God-given gifts, and filling our home with joy and purpose. She’s the steady hand behind our daily rhythm—leading Parker through voice practice, cheering Liam on as he perfects his cartwheels in gymnastics, and guiding Kaelynn’s eager steps in ballet. Her presence is woven into every moment of our lives, and we’re fighting to protect the beautiful life we’ve built as a team.

The road ahead is daunting. Surgeries, treatments, and recovery will demand not just physical endurance but unwavering faith. Doctors have given us a hopeful prognosis, and we're confident we have some of the best (and Christian!) oncology staff in our region. While we trust in God’s sovereignty and providence, the financial strain is a reality. Our greatest prayer is to keep our children’s world stable and full of hope—to balance hospital visits with Kaelynn’s ballet rehearsals, chemotherapy with Parker’s choir practices, and recovery with homeschool.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:11

We’ve created a GoFundMe to ease the weight of medical expenses so we can focus wholly on Spencer’s healing and our children’s hearts. We ask for your support—not just financially, but primarily through prayers that move mountains. Please know that we will be protective of every dollar donated and it will go directly toward medical expenses. If you cannot donate, sharing this page or lifting Spencer’s name in prayer means just as much to us. We believe in the power of our Christian family and community to “bear one another’s burdens” as Christ calls us to do.

Already, we’ve felt God’s grace through your kindness—meals delivered, scripture shared, and prayers that wrap us in peace. You’ve reminded us that “the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). We are humbled and grateful.

Spencer’s fight is fierce, but her faith is anchored in the One who holds tomorrow. She leans on the promise that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). With your support, we can ensure her strength goes toward healing, not worry. Together, we can safeguard the laughter, learning, and love that define our home.

Most of all though, we covet your prayers—for Spencer’s complete and permanent healing, for wisdom for her doctors, and for our children’s hearts as they trust in God’s goodness. Thank you for being His hands and feet in our lives.

With love and faith,

Doug Radzanowski
