Help Shelsea & Chris Sanchez give their son, Sol, a bright future

Hi friends, family and kind-hearted souls,

My name is Taren, a dear friend of Shelsea's, and I'm reaching out on behalf of her family. If you know Shelsea, she has poured into the community through her various wellness events over the years and now I'm asking for support for their precious son, Sol, with a heart full of hope.

Shelsea and her husband Chris are parents to twin miracle boys, Cielo and Sol, who were born at just 26 weeks. Their journey into this world has been nothing short of a testament to strength, faith, and resilience. While both of their boys are fighters, their son Sol has faced unimaginable challenges since birth, and now, they are fighting for his future.

Sol’s Journey: A Story of Strength

Their pregnancy was filled with twists and turns and at just 16 weeks, they discovered their boys were affected by Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare and life-threatening condition. They were rushed into emergency surgery, knowing there was a high chance they could lose one or both of their babies. Miraculously, they both made it through.

A few weeks later, Shelsea was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 25 weeks, a serious condition that left her hospitalized. By 26 weeks, her blood pressure had skyrocketed and doctors told them the only way to save Shelsea's life and each of the babies lives, was to deliver them immediately. Cielo and Sol were born via emergency C-section, tiny but mighty, and spent their first five months fighting for survival in the NICU.

Sol’s early battles included brain injuries, seizures, pneumonia, and cardiac complications. Despite all this, they were overjoyed when they finally brought him and his brother home. But Sol’s challenges didn’t stop there.

Four months after leaving the NICU, they noticed him missing developmental milestones, struggling to hold his head up and experiencing unusual movements. Their worst fears were confirmed when Sol was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare and devastating form of epilepsy that severely disrupts brain development during critical windows.

Doctors told them that Sol wouldn’t walk or talk, but they refuse to believe that. We believe in miracles—because it’s a miracle that both of their boys are even here after everything they have endured. Sol is already defying so many odds, and we know he has so much more fight left in him.

Why We Need Your Help

In the last year, Sol has endured countless hospital stays, EEGs, emergency MRIs, and medications—some of which have caused more harm than good, including medication toxicity in his brain. His infantile spasms have returned with a vengeance, happening 1-3 times a day, disrupting his therapies, and making daily life incredibly challenging.

Traditional medicine has left them with limited options, including a risky brain surgery with no guarantee of success. Watching Sol endure so much without clear answers or solutions has been heartbreaking for them but their faith remains stronger than ever. They know there’s a better path for him and that’s why they're turning to alternative treatments which offer hope for healing.

After months of research, Shelsea has learned about the incredible potential of functional medicine to address Sol’s unique needs. But these treatments are not covered by insurance and are financially out of reach for them.

Our Vision for Sol

We want to give Sol every opportunity to heal, grow and thrive by pursuing intensive therapies and treatments, including:

  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to promote brain healing
  • Stem cell therapy to repair damaged brain tissue
  • Specialized medical equipment for therapy at home
  • Intensive early intervention therapies to maximize neuroplasticity during this critical window.

These treatments come with significant costs, but they offer a chance for Sol to achieve the impossible. With your support, we can give him the tools he needs to defy the odds and create a brighter future.

Why This Matters Now

The brain’s neuroplasticity is at its peak during early childhood, meaning this is a critical time to intervene. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Sol’s treatments, therapies, and equipment. This isn’t just about giving Sol a chance to walk or talk—it’s about giving him the chance to truly live.

How You Can Help

If you’ve ever attended one of Shelsea's breathwork events or experienced her work in the community, you know how much she loves to pour into others. Today, I’m asking for that love and support to be returned—not for Shelsea, but for her precious son, Sol.

  • Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal.

  • Share: Spreading this campaign far and wide can help us reach more people who might feel called to help.

  • Pray and Send Love: Your good thoughts, prayers, and energy mean the world to us.

A Message From Shelsea's Heart:
"When I look into Sol’s eyes, I know that he has a bright future ahead but I know we can’t do it alone. He’s a sweet, beautiful soul who deserves a fighting chance, and with your support, I know we can give him that."

"From the bottom of this mama’s heart, thank you for reading, donating, sharing, and holding space for us during this journey. Sol’s story is still being written, and I believe it will be one of hope, healing, and miracles." -With love and gratitude, Shelsea.
