Stand with Shaghaf in Their Housing Crisis
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Shaghaf Abdallah.
I am a trans-identifying individual of Arab/North African heritage, currently living in Washington, DC. I’ve been navigating life on my own since being disowned by my father for embracing my authentic self. Despite the challenges, I’ve made significant strides in my personal and professional growth, pursuing my passion as an ambitious belly dancer, and in hospitality.
However, I am currently facing a housing crisis. Due to circumstances beyond my control—including multiple rent increases, the financial fallout of COVID, and job transitions—I’ve fallen behind on rent. As a result, I’ve been served a legal ultimatum: move BEFORE mid-January (the 15th)— 2025 or face eviction charges.
I am seeking your help to secure stable housing, ideally a studio or shared room in DC. The funds raised will go toward covering at least first month’s rent, a security deposit, and moving expenses.
This is more than just a necessity—it’s a crucial step toward stability and independence as I continue building my future. Achieving this goal is one of my New Year’s resolutions, and I can’t do it alone.
Thank you for your kindness and support in helping me through this critical time.
