Stand with Serena After Her Loss

This GoFundMe is in support of Serena Johnson, a friend to countless people, and beloved member of our community. I have the pleasure of working with Serena on a daily basis as do many of us here at the facility.

On June 9th while Serena was at work, tragedy struck as a fire occurred suddenly at her home. Despite the best efforts of first responders and the courageous actions of her husband Obi, both he and their family dog Blue did not survive. As she and her family begin to cope with the depths of this tragedy, we hope that our community will band together by providing them support during this difficult time.

Serena is known for her vibrant personality, incredible sense of humor, and her care for others. Serena greets hundreds of people every day as they come through the gates of her place of employment. She’s lifted up so many of us with her kind words and well wishes, her relentlessly positive attitude, and a smile. It’s our turn to help lift her and her family up during this tragic period.

The funds raised from this campaign will be transferred directly to Serena to help her rebuild many aspects her life. From providing shelter and replenishing some of her belongings, these donations will help Serena during a very challenging time. Thank you for any support that you can provide.
