September McCoy is unlike anyone you will ever meet. She is fiercely independent, kind, beautiful, intelligent, caring, passionate, entrepreneurial, helpful, encouraging, original.
On March 8, 2025, at 4:00 AM September woke up with intense non-stop hemorrhaging (bleeding). She called the EMS and was taken to the hospital. The emergency room hospital sent her home and told her to go to Ob/Gyn for help. September asked, “Is there anything else we can do?” “He said we’d wait 3-4 weeks; we’d do a biopsy if you still have problems.” She said “No, let’s do it today; if there’s anything wrong let’s find out now!”
She had hemorrhaging again on March 10, the ob-gyn told her she needed to be on *birth control* to help stop the bleeding. Birth control meds have caused September, in the past, to have splitting migraines, high blood pressure. This was not a solution! Just a band-aid.
September was diagnosed March 17 with Endometrial Cancer Grade 3, highly aggressive; can’t bare children. Around 2017, she was told she had PCOS, went to many Ob/Gyns to see who would help with the symptoms. The Doctors would all say lose weight, eat healthy, exercise as if the blame was on her.
Back in March before having the hysterectomy, the Surgeon explained her cancer fighting gene p53 is mutated and damaged making it difficult to leave her female organs unbothered when the cancer is aggressive. September no longer has the option of having her own children. She’s planning for the future by trying to freeze her eggs.
While her support is a bit shaky, she needs to make sure she’s ok for rides to the doctors, medicine, therapy, healthy food, prepare her home to be comfortable during chemo and egg retrieval the next 5 months. All these expenses add up while not being able to work.
This fund is in support of September's expenses that far exceed what any one person could cover. Let's come together and get these expenses covered so that September does not have to factor these expenses into her daily worries.
Please consider supporting September by helping her when normally she doesn’t feel comfortable asking for help.
