Stand with Scott Blank: Overcoming Leukemia Together
Donation protected
Scott Blank is a long-time teacher at Riverside HS in Painesville, OH. He has been impacting countless lives for the past 27 years. He is a long-time wrestling coach for 30 years. He and his wife have created a beautiful family of 9 amazing children. Being a teacher and raising 9 amazing kids was not enough for this wonderful man. He and his wife are both foster parents and have taken in and helped over 100 children.
Scott has dedicated his life to helping others win battles, whether that is on the wrestling mat or in the classroom. About a year ago, Scott was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. He started some treatments and things were relatively positive. As the year went on, Scott was eager for another school year of doing what he loves.
As of late, Scott just knew something was not right. He went to his doctor and found out that the cancer had mutated. With this new challenge, Scott will now have to put a pause on all the things he loves. In the coming weeks, Scott will be admitted to the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center on a month-to-month basis and possibly up to a year before being able to return to work as he will be undergoing Stem Cell Replacement.
This news has rocked his family, friends, teammates, teachers, and all who love him. Anyone who has met Scott knows that he is a kind, loving, funny, and loyal man who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.
We are raising funds to help with medical expenses, meals, and any other expenses to help them get by at this difficult time.
Anything that you can contribute for this amazing man and incredible family would be greatly appreciated. We know in our hearts that he will beat this, but he has a difficult road ahead.
The family appreciates the love, support, and prayers. Please keep the prayers coming!!
