Help 6-Month-Old Sawyer as He Faces Major Brain Surgery
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
We are reaching out during one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced. Our sweet 6-month-old son, Sawyer, is preparing to go into the hospital this Tuesday for a major brain surgery — his second in just six weeks.
Sawyer was born with a large arachnoid cyst, a fluid-filled sac on his brain that has caused increasing pressure and serious complications. On Tuesday, he will undergo a craniotomy, where surgeons will attempt to relieve the pressure and drain the fluid. If they are unable to do so effectively during the procedure, they may need to switch to placing a shunt—a device that will help manage the fluid long-term.
Following surgery, Sawyer will remain in the hospital for at least a week to recover.
This has been a terrifying and emotionally exhausting time for our family. Morgan and I are doing everything we can to be strong for him, but we are also facing serious financial hardship. The cost of travel, meals, lodging, time off work, and other unexpected expenses is overwhelming.
We are humbly asking for help. Any donation—big or small—will go directly toward travel, food, lodging, and other essential needs as we stay by his side through this critical time.
If you are unable to give financially, we truly appreciate your prayers, kind words, and shares of this page. Your support means the world to us and helps lighten the load during this incredibly hard journey.
Thank you for being part of Sawyer’s story and standing with our family as we fight for his health and healing.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Morgan, Mikaella & Emma
