We’re reaching out to let you know that we are kicking off a campaign to help our friend and blockhead sister, Sandra Cuevas, pay for medical bills following her double mastectomy and breast cancer diagnosis.

You may have heard that , Sandra was diagnosed with a form of breast cancer in 2022. She underwent a lumpectomy and 4 rounds of chemo at the time. Since she has completed Chemo, she has had many complications which has lead to her needing a double mastectomy. Sandra had the mastectomy in May. Due to her starting a new job earlier in 2024, she didn't have any sick/vacation time so she had to take the time off without pay. Sandra cannot afford a high end medical insurance plan, so her medical bills/co-insurance, deductibles are high.

The effects of this illness are devastating her and her family, however. The prognosis, with this course of treatment is good. She is currently in remission.

Every little bit will help her pay these bills, and her mortgage so she doesn't fall behind.

Due to not having paid time off, Sandra had to go back to work only 2 weeks after surgery (instead of the 6 weeks her Dr wanted her to take).
