Stand with Sacoi: Battle Against Cancer

Donation protected
‍♂️ Imagine watching your joyful child run full speed, full of life—only to see that light dim in an instant.

That’s exactly what happened to my son, Sacoi—or “Coi” as we lovingly call him.

Coi is a 4-year-old full of sunshine. A chatterbox. A goofball. Always running, jumping, laughing. He was a ball of energy who brought light to every room he entered.

But everything changed so suddenly.

One day, while playing like he always did, he fell. It didn’t seem like a big deal at first—just a little limp. We assumed he might’ve sprained something. But when the limp didn’t go away, we started seeing doctors. Then came X-rays, more appointments, ER visits… but no answers. Coi stopped walking. The pain got worse. He developed a fever that wouldn’t break.

After four ER visits and no improvement, we were finally transferred to Manning Family Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. A doctor finally listened. An emergency MRI revealed a serious bone infection—osteomyelitis—and we were told it was treatable.

But he didn’t get better.

Then we were told an abscess had formed in his hip. It burst. He needed surgery. Then another surgery for a bone biopsy.

And that’s when our world shattered.

The biopsy revealed cancer cells.

After more tests and a bone marrow biopsy, we heard the words no parent ever wants to hear:

➡️ Pre-B Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

My active, unstoppable little boy now lays in a hospital bed—receiving chemotherapy, steroids, antibiotics, and pain meds. He no longer runs. He barely talks. He cries in pain. And he sleeps through most of the day. This diagnosis has turned our lives upside down.

Why We Need Your Help

Our family is doing everything we can, but the financial strain is overwhelming. Between travel to the hospital, missed work, and medical expenses not fully covered by insurance, we are struggling to keep up.

We are asking for support to help us:
   •   Cover ongoing medical and treatment costs
   •   Pay for travel and lodging near the hospital
   •   Support basic needs during extended hospital stays
   •   Prepare for Coi’s long road to recovery

Every donation, share, and prayer means the world to us. We believe in miracles. We believe in the power of community. And we believe that with your help, Coi can one day run again.

From the bottom of my heart—thank you for standing with us during the hardest chapter of our lives.
