On the night of 26 September, everything changed for 16-year-old Rylie and the people who love him most.

Rylie was struck by two vehicles on Old Cleveland Road at Belmont and was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition. In a matter of moments, his mum Jazmine, dad Paul and brother Hunter were thrown into every family’s worst nightmare.

Rylie is only 16. He is a much-loved son, brother, friend and student, with so much life still ahead of him. He previously attended Wellington Point State High School and is now a student at BUSY Schools in Cleveland.

Right now, his family are doing the only thing they can do — staying close, holding onto hope and being there for Rylie every step of the way.

As they sit beside him and face the uncertainty of what comes next, the last thing they should have to worry about is money.

This GoFundMe has been created to help ease some of that pressure for Jazmine, Paul and Hunter, so they can focus on Rylie and on supporting him through what may be a long and difficult recovery.

Funds raised will help with time away from work, travel to and from hospital, household expenses, rehabilitation, ongoing care and whatever else Rylie may need in the weeks and months ahead.
