On May 28th, Ron Jackson was spending a beautiful, sunny day at Harry Todd Park in Lakewood, WA with his wife, Leighten, and their five young children — four girls and one boy. It was the first hot day of the year, and they were simply enjoying a peaceful afternoon together at the lake.

In an instant, everything changed.

Ron was one of the victims of the mass shooting that has shaken our entire community and made national headlines. He was shot and is now facing a long and difficult road to recovery, including major surgery on his liver. This was a senseless act of violence that affected innocent families — and Ron was just a father trying to create memories with his children.
