On 1/17/26, at around 10am, Roberto Garcia spotted a swarm of ICE agents attempting to make an arrest on Evergreen Way, South Everett.

He offered the arrestee support by videotaping and verifying their rights weren’t being violated. Roberto asked the agents if they had a judicial warrant, which they did not. From there, things escalated quickly and led to Roberto being chased down, slammed to the ground, arrested, threatened, and charged with obstruction of a federal investigation.

Roberto is an educator, youth advocate, a community voice, member and leader who dedicates his time to supporting the youth at our local schools. He didn’t deserve this, and as someone who serves our community to the fullest, I am asking our community to in turn have his back during these times.

We’re preparing for the worst and your contribution will pay for a lawyer and whatever other legal fees come from this.

UPDATE: Roberto is home with his family and in better spirits after seeing how much support he’s received and how united the community rallied behind him! We express a million thanks to everyone who shared or donated - and will keep updating as time goes on. 

NOTE: Roberto Garcia is one of my closest friends, and I felt the need to support him like he supports me and the community! We plan on making a video and post on social media of me transferring the funds to him, details are still being thought out, to be as transparent as possible with the general public.
