Robert Sidhe, a leader at his union WFSE and asylum seeker from Kenya, who works at UW Montlake as a Patient Care Tech was detained on by ICE August 26th. He has been threated with being transferred to a facility in another state. He is currently being held at the Northwest Detention Center.
Robert is a proud and active member in his local and fiercely advocated for his coworkers and community. His unjust detainment has had a tremendous impact on not only his family, as he is the primary caretaker, but also his community.
While his coworkers are donating shared leave, we need more support. As the primary breadwinner and caretaker of his family, bills and rent are not able to be paid until ICE releases him.
