Support Rob Janczak in Overcoming Pancreatic Cancer

Donation protected
We are reaching out on behalf of Rob- beloved family man (husband, father, uncle, brother, son) and fiercely loyal friend—who is fighting for his life against pancreatic adenocarcinoma.

Rob has been passionate about food and cooking since he was a teenager. First working at restaurants then building his current career with Wegmans over many decades. He’s been a trusted leader in every kitchen, bringing people together to create fantastic dishes. Rob met his soulmate and wife Amy at Wegmans and together they are raising their cherished daughter, Buffy- who is the light of his life. He’s also a diehard Buffalo Bills fan—a proud season ticket holder and tailgating fanatic. When Rob’s not in the kitchen or at a game, he’s probably rocking out to Black Sabbath or Metallica—music that’s carried him through thick and thin.

On Easter this year, our family was shaken when Rob noticed his skin had turned yellow. After weeks of uncertainty and numerous tests, Rob was diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer. He underwent a grueling Whipple surgery—a complex operation to remove the tumor—completely restructuring his digestive system and leaving him with a feeding tube (which will stay in place for chemotherapy). Despite these obstacles, Rob faced recovery with the same grit and fervor he brings to everything in life.

When Rob was strong enough to start chemotherapy with the medication port surgically installed, the battle intensified. The first week of treatment was grueling, but the second week turned deadly. Just before his birthday, Rob was hospitalized with severe sepsis caused by a dangerous infection (clostridium difficile). He faced kidney injury and metabolic chaos, fighting for his very survival.

Thanks to expert care and Rob’s relentless spirit, he survived and made it home, but he is still far from out of the woods.

Rob has not been able to work since April 2025. He will need ongoing chemotherapy into 2026. Hospital bills, out-of-pocket expenses, and the costs of missing income have quickly overwhelmed him and his family.

This is why we are asking for your help. Anything you can contribute will go directly towards Rob’s medical bills, treatments, recovery expenses, and supporting his family during this grueling journey. No amount is too small, and every bit truly does make a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing Rob’s story is also a tremendous help.

Rob’s journey is far from over. He’s a fighter, but this marathon is one he and his family cannot run alone. Please consider helping Rob continue to make memories with his wife Amy and daughter Buffy, cook up delicious eats, cheer for the Bills (Let’s Go!), and rock out to heavy metal—for many years to come.

Thank you for your support and kindness.
