Financial support for Richard Moreno and his family

October 26th at 1:44 in the morning, Richard passed. This is an extremely hard time for us, and it was very sudden. We all thought he was getting better.
Update: He came home Wednesday the 12 of June. The bleeding has gotten better but he is still bloated from the waist down and unable to walk, stand or sit for more than a few minutes. He can only eat very small meals once maybe two times a day if he is lucky. He feels dizzy more often than not. He has a follow up with his primary doctor, we are hoping they have some ideas of what can help. If not, Richard and I have talked about taking him to Yale for help.
Update: his kidneys are looking better but his liver is still struggling. He is still bleeding a lot and they are running different tests to find the reason, and he is still very weak and he is swollen from the waist down. Today is the 10th day he has been in the hospital. He is restless, exhausted, and bruised. We are hoping he will be home soon, so he can truly relax, sleep and eat the foods he really enjoys. But it's a process to rule out what is and isn't going on. I am trying to maintain as normal of a home as I can, and keep routines on track for the kids. But we miss him and his presence in our home .
Hi family and friends. As some of you may know my husband has been in the hospital since June 6th, 2024. His body started to shut down and with all the tests they have done we still cannot pin point why. The diagnosis as of now is GI bleeding, liver failure, and kidney failure. There is an obstruction in an unknown area, doctors are working on trying to determine where the obstruction might be. But until he is considered in the safe zone they cannot move forward with an endoscopy and colonoscopy. It will be a long road for him, he is unable to come home which will have a significant impact on our family.
Richard is an amazing husband and father who dedicates all his time to us. Every morning he wakes up with the kids and I to make breakfast and walk our 5 year old daughter to the bus stop. He is teaching our 17 year old daughter how to drive, and plays games with our 15 year old son and takes him on father/son dates to the movie theater. He loves to cook for us and watch us enjoy his homemade food from his childhood. This man has changed my life and given me all the opportunities to become who I want to be, and loving me through all my changes. Our family would be devastated without him in our lives. So we are all putting everything we can into being here for him the best we can, so he can come home to us.
This is an incredibly scary time for our family, we are unsure as to what the future holds.
Any donations that you can make, small or large is appreciated more than I am able to express. We're not sure when Richard will be able to return to work or if he'll be able to return at all.
Any donations that we receive help to cover medical bills that our insurance does not cover and it will also go towards helping with bills and food.
Thank you so much for any help that you are able to give us.
