In September of 2024, my beautiful boy Rex Emiliano (3) suffered a severe seizure that led to a devastating diagnoses of a rare brain cancer called CNS Neuroblastoma. In that moment our lives changed forever unfortunately .
Rex was rushed into emergency surgery requiring a craniotomy for tumor resection to relieve the pressure and swelling of Rex’s brain. After 8 hours in surgery his amazing Neurosurgeon team was able to give Rex some relief. Unfortunately the tumor was not fully removed due to life threatening risks. As we waited for our biopsy results to confirm the worst possible diagnosis.
Once the results confirmed the dreadful news that his tumor was cancer life completely changed forever.
I then had to make the decision to do a second craniotomy due to the radiation treatment recommended being detrimental to his development and life threatening at Rex’s age.
After his second craniotomy he is now on his 7th round of chemotherapy.
The treatments he receives to keep him alive are also slowly destroying him. I pray that we are making all the right decisions for Rex and his future.
It has been such a challenging time for our family trying to defeat this disease. Rex has fought such an amazing fight and I am hopeful he will come out of this nightmare with a victory, CANCER FREE!!!
Any donation is never to small or unappreciated. Rex also has siblings who have endured so much watching their little brother suffer from such an unexpected disease.
Since Rex’s diagnosis, I have had to resign from my Job, to care for Rex and travel to all of his appointments and treatments. Financially, our family is experiencing the hardest of times.
Medical expenses have reached an all time high , travel expenses, living at the hospital endlessly, and still maintaining a household for my other children, this has been financially draining.
Rex is fighting hard against Cancer, and we need your help to ease the financial burden. Every bit matters. Any donations, gifts, prayers, or kind words are so deeply appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and please follow us along Rex’s journey to be cancer free! #RexStrongb#NueroblastomaFree
