Stand with Pickett Family in Their Time of Need
Donation protected

For Caitlyn and Mark Pickett, their dream was to have a loving home, for their two very young children, 6 years, and 18 months old.
They moved to Elkhorn, Nebraska in late 2023 from Denver, as part of a job requirement. They both work for a commercial construction company, building the new major upgrade to the Omaha Airport. That is the reason they were there.
They rented a home in Elkhorn, being new to the area, as they needed to get resettled quickly after their move and get their 6-year old son settled into a new school. But they had a wonderful life. The family is strong.
On April 26th, 2024... while tornado sirens wailed, it was Caitlyn and the children seeking refuge in a lower-level closet as an F5 tornado with 230 mph winds destroyed the house around them.
After the storm passed, even though you can hear the pain in Caitlyn’s voice as she surveys the damage in the attached video, she knows she is very lucky to be alive. Research has shown 71 people die every year from tornados. But the lower level of the house did its job… protecting them from devastation.
As their family, we are going to do whatever we can to help them through this time of need, but this disaster will not take a day or week to overcome. We ask those with the capability to assist them, please help if you can. All donations will go directly towards the mounting bills incurred due to this tragic devastation.
