Our union sister, La’Tavia Lowe, needs our help after a hit-and-run outside of her home totaled her car and damaged her mother’s vehicle as well. The driver fled, leaving La’Tavia without reliable transportation and the ability to work her job.

La’Tavia provides in-home behavioral therapy to young children with Autism. She is required to travel by car to provide this critical in-home care, and Compass refuses to provide one. Without her car, she can't reach the families who depend on her services or earn her hourly wage.

Beyond her clinical work, La’Tavia is a dedicated member of the bargaining team and an organizer at Compass Youth Services, standing shoulder to shoulder with coworkers to fight for better wages, safer working conditions, and dignity for mental health workers. She shows up for others every day. Now she needs her community to show up for her!

Compass generates millions in revenue each year, yet workers like La’Tavia are paid below a living wage, reimbursed below the federal mileage reimbursement threshold, and left without support when emergencies like this occur. This is exactly why we organize, and exactly why solidarity matters.
