Stand with Orion Valverde's Family in His Healing Journey

Our son Orion Christopher Valverde was born with Heterotaxy Syndrome, a rare disease affecting 1 in 10,000 worldwide. Heterotaxy syndrome is a condition where internal organs in the chest and abdomen are not in their normal positions. The word "heterotaxy" means "different arrangement." Symptoms include heart defects, breathing difficulties, increased risk of infection, and digestion issues.

When he was born, he had to be sent to Children's Hospital in Los Angeles that night. Doctors explained to us that Orion would be needing life-saving open-heart surgeries in order for him to live. We were fortunate the first surgery back in January was smooth and quick. On December 12th, 2024, Orion went into another heart procedure (more major and riskier than the first) that had him on life support for 4 days. He is critically ill and at high risk.

Unfortunately, we were not anticipating this to happen. My husband and I have been by his side ever since, and he's been on a very slow recovery in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. I am asking on behalf of my family that during this time, we need all the help we can receive. We are in a financial dilemma. My husband does not know when he will have to go back to work due to the complications our son has been having. All we know is that we'll be here as long as our baby is strong enough to get discharged.

Life does not stop for anyone. We rely heavily on his income, but now we have none. This fund is for all of our payments coming up. By helping contribute, you will help us take a load off our shoulders to be by our baby when he needs us most.
