Artist & Filmmaker Onyx White Fight Injustice and Keep Creating
Introduction:
Hi, my name is Onyx White—I’m a scriptwriter, musician, and the subject of the award-nominated documentary Don’t Judge Me, which has aired nationally and gained powerful attention online. My story is one of redemption, resilience, and relentless creativity.
Just two years ago, I walked out of prison with nothing but a dream. Since then, I’ve performed at institutions like Harvard University, Boston University, and others, sharing my music and screening my documentary followed by powerful Q&As that have touched and inspired thousands. Every performance is deeply rooted in my lived experience—my story is real, raw, and needed.
I’m now developing a feature film called *The Slaying of Innocence*, set to premiere in 2026 This project is deeply personal and explores themes of lost youth, injustice, and the strength it takes to rise.
But right now, my path has been derailed.
Why I Need Your Help:
Recently, I was racially profiled by a state trooper and arrested for what should have been a routine speeding ticket. Instead of a citation, I was thrown in jail, placed on a GPS ankle monitor, and now face serious jail time over a traffic stop.
Let me be clear: this is not justice. This is systemic racism trying to silence another Black creative voice.
I’m asking for your help to raise funds to pay for legal defense, cover court-related costs, and support my ongoing work as a musician and filmmaker. This includes:
- Any possible Attorney and legal fees
-Travel and production costs for upcoming performances
- All financial losses associated to this case
- and overall support of my career path journey
This is more than just my story—it’s about every young person who’s been thrown away, misunderstood, or judged too soon.
Your support allows me to keep telling stories that matter, speaking truth to power, and showing the world what resilience looks like. I’m not giving up. I just need a little help to keep fighting.
Thank you for believing in me.
With gratitude,
Onyx White
